I just watched an amazing video. "One crazy girl" starts dancing to the Oprah and Black-Eyed Peas, and by the end of the song, an entire stadium is dancing the complicated, choreographed dance together.

Ever since I saw Derek Sivers video, Leadership and the Dancing Guy, I have believed the best way to create change is to lead by example and spread virally, but how to apply this in an organization? (I've been a lone nut for over 20 years! 😉 It turns out, the Peas not only had the lone nut (you can see her start as the first dancer), but they had "seeded" the stadium with dancers who already knew the dance. For 10,000 people in the stadium, there were approximately 800 dancers. Let's call it one dancer for every 100 people.

Personal Agility is a dance everyone can learn. My hypothesis is that seeding Personal Agility throughout an organization can be an effective first step to making an entire organization agile.

Call for participation!

Who would like to help me test this hypothesis? Have you attempted anything like this in the past? Are you struggling to transform your organization? Would you like to give this approach a try? Leave your answer below, send me an email, or reach out to me on linked in. I will select one, maybe two partners to give this a try with, on a largely non-profit basis. I look forward to trying something cool!
