It all started with the tweet below from Lyssa Adkins appearing in my Twitter feed. My instant reaction?: ‘If Lyssa is praising this workshop it has to be good!‘. I was basically sold and signed up for the Recognized Practitioner Workshop the same day.
Over the course of four weeks I had been skillfully coached by Maria Matarelli on applying Personal Agility in my daily and weekly routine.
The impact on me was bigger than I had imagined. It made me reflect on what’s really important to me. I realized where I want to spend my energy and what I want to achieve. This clarity helps me in choosing every day what I say ‘Yes’ to, and what I say ‘No’ to (or ‘No, not now’). But saying ‘No’ is not easy. It needs courage. And sometimes I don’t have enough courage. But I have the feeling I’m slowly getting better. And this is what really counts. It’s all about continous improvement, right?
I'm also continously experimenting with the structure of my Priorities Map. I never really used the Forces Map. So instead I merged the two together. I also added a "Learnings" column where I keep track of what I learned about myself or the world around me during the week.
I can’t necessarily say I get more done because of Personal Agility. But I can definitely say I get the right things done. More than ever before.
